Well sorry for not blogging last week, it was a little busy. I was traveling throughout Europe last week, I went to Nice, St Tropez, Monte Carlo and Barcelona I had a wonderful time. Then I flew back into Miami had dinner with some friends, then I was off to Chicago the next morning. Ok I’m not done yet, then I flew to New York the very next day for my first Yankees game. Now I’m back in Chicago!!!

    Hello Mr. Marion,
Can I let out a sigh! :-) Wow, what a schedule! Did you get to shoot craps at the Monte Carlo casino? The ocean is just breathtaking..and all those yachts, Ferrari’s. The locals in Nice are very hospitable! Hope you had a blast! Being cultured is pretty cool! :-) I think it’s very cool to visit other countries! The world has much more to offer if we allow ourselves to broaden our personal journey. You also went to NY Yankees game? Wow, that had to be the funniest thing ever! Getting pumped up, cheering and munching on popcorn, hot dogs, and peanuts! I love to watch baseball..it’s like watching a chess match…very slow but anything can happen like homers! Take care and enjoy the rest of summer! ~ Aloha ~

    Shawn,

Sounds like you lead a crazy exciting life. Do you ever slow down? Did your mom go on the trip with you? I met her last year on my birthday. She is a very nice lady. It was a treat to get to meet the mother of one of my favorite players. You are awesome. Keep doing what you do.

    Love,
    Jessica

  6. Hi there!

I have a four year old son and a two year old son. My four year old (who you have seen, I’m sure) is super tall for his age. He’s a full head taller than kids his age. At school, in a class with kids ages four to six, was taller than every one of them. His height is quite literally off the growth curve.

He has really severe ADHD and other issues, so he doesn’t focus on things the way other kids do. He also has a really bad problem with anger and aggression.

But for all the things he needs to work through, he is physically gifted. He’s so graceful and fast and accurate and energetic, I wonder if he’s cut-out for a career in sports. One day, he might be able to take out his aggression on the field. With padding.

Anyway, I don’t know much about your biography (though it sounds like you’re having a fun summer!). I’d be interested to hear how you got your start and how early you showed signs of your talent. Did your parents have some sense from the beginning that you were destined for this or is it a talent and skill you developed over time? Just curious.

    :) Christina
