Camp Update

Well, last week was very tiring but the camp was a great success!!! The kids this year were amazing and showed vast improvement from last year. And my sister Quinnisha did a magnificent job being the camp director, and the staff was awesome as well. I can’t wait to see what next years camp brings.
I also had the privilege to participate in Alonzo Mornings and D-Wades Summer Groove Charity event, this past weekend. It was a killer weekend the comedy show was off the chain and all of the other events were great as well. The charity game was packed with many of my NBA peers and they didn’t disappoint the fans with an array of highlights. It’s was a privilege to be able to support a wonderful cause, to help support children’s programs.

Giving back to the community with your wonderful foundation & coaching the “future NBAers” in summer camp is a GREAT thing! There is so much talent in the young ones. Hey,after all they cherish dreams as you once did for the love of the game. Just working hard to make it all happen is something that I’m sure these kids will take with them in their lifes’ journey. And it’s pretty cool when I see professional athletes actively giving of their hard-pressed time off & money to these kids or to a meaningful cause. Changing one life or a group of kids that live without hope can only make you a better person. It shows character & unselfishness to help someone else.

Dear Shawn,
I just want you to know this was the best camp ever and you brought a lot of joy and excellent memories to the kids. I always enjoy doing the camp because your family is great, especially your gramma and sister, Q! I can’t wait to do this again next year. So a lot of thanks and love to the Marion family.
